NEi: Building Awareness, Securing Impact
Brand identity, messaging, and website design
Founded in 1985, NEi is a Hawai‘i-based nonprofit dedicated to employment and vocational rehabilitation. Through personalized counseling, job training, and employer partnerships, NEi helps individuals across the state gain the tools and support they need to find meaningful work.
The Challenge
As a nonprofit reliant on both public and private funding, NEi faced a growing visibility problem. Despite decades of impact, its mission wasn’t clearly understood—and that lack of awareness was putting its future at risk. Without a strong, unified brand, NEi struggled to connect with stakeholders or stand out in a competitive nonprofit landscape.
The BLG Difference
NEi had a powerful story—it just needed the right platform to tell it.
Blackletter Group partnered with NEi to strengthen its brand from the ground up. Together, we helped define its voice, sharpen its messaging, and shape a visual identity that reflected the heart of its mission.
Brand Identity: A refreshed logo and modern visual system brought cohesion to the organization’s look and feel, reinforcing professionalism and trust.
Website Design: We created a new website that made NEi’s mission clear, its services accessible, and its impact visible—helping build stronger relationships with funders, partners, and clients.
Messaging: We clarified the organization’s value proposition and purpose, giving NEi the tools to advocate for itself with confidence.
The Outcome
With a stronger brand and digital presence, NEi elevated its standing in the community and secured continued funding to carry its mission forward. The result: a nonprofit better equipped to serve Hawai‘i’s workforce—and tell its story with clarity and heart.
